Jackass Star Bam Margera Rushed to Hospital

Bam Margera the star of MTV's "Jackass" was rushed to the hospital yesterday after paramedics responded to a 911 call for a "possible overdose."

Bam Margera who said he was rushed to the hospital after a four day drinking binge not because of a drug overdose. The "Jackass" star went on the four day drinking binge because of marital problems, saying "I may get a divorce ... booze helps."

Bam's mother said Bam's wife Missy called 911 because she was worried about him after learning that he took an Ambien during the drinking bender.

Ban Margera says his kidney and leg muscles were a mess from not eating or drinking water. The hospital flushed out his system, he was then released after speaking to a psychiatrist.

Fred Durst Married in Las Vegas

Fred Durst has just announced that he has married his girlfriend Esther in a secret ceremony.The Limp Bizkit frontman used Twitter to make the announcement from Las Vegas, where him and his band played a free concert for 2,500 fan this week.

He wrote, "Cheers to the universe from me and my lovely wife Esther Durst! We are now one and complete. :o)" Fred Durst thenr posted pictures on the site of the pair toasting their nuptials with cocktails.The wedding has come just three months after Fred Durst  first announced their engagement.

 

Beastie Boys, Adam Yauch Diagnosed With Cancer

Founding member of rap group the Beastie Boys, Adam "MCA" Yauch, said on Monday he has a cancerous tumor in his salivary gland, forcing the Beastie Boys to cancell all of the band's upcoming concerts.

Adam Yauch said in an online video that the cancer is "very treatable in most cases," and it is localized in his neck and not affecting his vocal chords. I apologize to everybody, for anyone who's made plans or was psyched to come to these shows that are coming up,"

As a result of the cancer, the Beastie Boys are going to push back the release of their new album "Hot Sauce Committee Part 1." The album had was set for release on September 15, The tour that would have supported the new album has also been pushed back. No new dates have been announced.

Adam Yauch said he felt a lump in his throat two months ago and he recently checked with a doctor and was diagnosed with the cancerous growth in his left salivary gland.Yauch added that he will have surgery next week, and then follow that with radiation.

 

Paula Abdul Says Goodbye To American Idol After 8 Seasons

After 8 seasons as the a judge on Fox's American Idol, Paula Abdul is apparently not return for season 9 of American Idol.

Abdul has not received a contract offer from 19 Entertainment, American Idol's production companie.Paula Abdul is the lowest paid member of  American Idol's on air team.  Ryan Seacrest was just signed to a three year, $45 million contract deal. Simon Cowell's contact will renewal next year, when he is expected to get a  salary increase. Randy Jackson is signed through 2011.

MTV Games To Launch "Rock Band Netwok"

MTV Games announced that they will soon be launching  a Rock Band Network where independent musicians and labels can submit their songs through the XNA Creator's Club to be included as a download to players on the XBOX 360. The music can also be updates for the Wii and Playstation 3 thirty days after Xbox 360 release.

Membership to the XNA Creator's Club is $49.99 every four months or $99.99 for a year. Microsoft will allowing bands to sell their music through Xbox Live for Rock Band at $0.50 up to $3.00 per song. Bands keep 30% of all sales. No word of when the Rock Band Network will be available.

Paul McCartney Plays Concert Where Beatles Made US TV Debut

 The Beatles made their American television debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on Feb. 9, 1964. Forty five years after The Beatles American TV debut at the Ed Sullivan Theater, Paul McCartney came back with a concert on top of the marquee.

McCartney put on an outdoor concert on top of  the theater's marquee for a crowd estimated at  4,000 people. The performance was shown on CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman."

McCartney will opens a tour Friday at Citi Field, which is the New York Mets stadium that opened this year. Their previous home, Shea Stadium, was where the Beatles performed a sold out crowd 1965.
