The story first aired on channel 6 in Indianapolis, but the story is now playing on all major news networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, and CNN. A man by the name of Gregory Smith went into an Advanced America Store to rob the clerk when something unusual happened. Once he hoped over the counter and showed the clerk the gun, she immediately began to cry. Instead of taking the money out of the cash register and running he stopped to console the clerk.

What makes it more bizarre is not only did he try to calm the clerk down; Smith also started praying with her, saying everything was going to be o.k. As she kept crying he took the bullet out of his gun and handed it to the clerk to try and help calm her down, he even gave her a hug to show he was really sorry. After trying to console the clerk for almost half and hour he then took twenty dollars from the register and the clerks cell phone and took off.

After his unsuccessful robbery attempt, the video of what happened was showed on the evening news. While Smith may have thought he got away, his mother noticed him on TV and told him to turn himself in which he did.

It is going to be strange to see how this story unfolds. The clerk is very appreciative that Smith did not harm her and even tried to calm her down. Unfortunately for him a robbery is a robbery especially when a gun is involved, if he knew what he was doing was wrong he should have never done it in the first place. He is expected to be charged, and will be now known as the “ Prayer hugging bullet giving robber”.

Dish Networks BET just announced that they are going to be joining up with Philadelphia Eagles star / ex convict Michael Vick to put together an 8-part documentary about his rise and fall from fame. Executives at BET say it well give everyone a better idea of who Vick is as a person. It will give an inside look at his early childhood, his college days at Virginia Tech, and his pro career as an Atlanta Falcon until he threw it all away by running an illegal dog fighting ring.

Originally Vick had started filming during his trial with his own crew. Once BET heard about it they contacted Vick to put a show together for early next year titled “ The Michael Vick Project”. Even though it was just announced the show is already getting negative feed back. So people are mad that a man convicted of heinous crimes is being offered a chance to show young kids that even if you commit crimes, as long as your famous it will be ok. Others are upset that millions of people in the world struggle to feed their families, while Vick who was once the highest paid player in the NFL gets released from jail files for bankruptcy and immediately gets money thrown his way again.

At this point we all do not necessarily know what the show will truly entail. One thing is for certain it better be centered around Vick fixing his life and trying to make amends for all of the bad things he did in the past. If not and all we see is him shopping and partying, I can see major riots, and boycotts outside of anything associated with his name on it.

Even though Golf and Rugby or major international sports that are regularly seen on ESPN they have not been part of the Olympics for a while. But that all changed when the Olympic board approved both of the sports to return to competition for the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.

The board approved golf with a vote of 63-27, and Rugby by huge 81-8 margin. In order to get the sports approved many of the top players in each sport spoke to the panel about how adding their sport would benefit both the Olympics and people worldwide. Even Tiger Woods sent in a recorded video to the panel saying he would love to compete if golf was approved.

With the go ahead approval golf will have 60 men and women competing in a 72 hole competition with the winner take the gold. Rugby will change its format a little from 15 a side to just 7, and will have 12 men and woman teams competing.

The new “Tyson” documentary set to release Aug 18 will show another side of the boxer that we don’t know. The boxing world and many fans remember (Iron) Mike Tyson from all of his fights that currently air on ESPN classic, or the time in which he bit Evander Holyfield’s ear off. Tyson became a huge hit at a very young age knocking out his first 19 professional opponents, 12 of them in the first round on his to become the youngest boxer in history to win the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight belts.

In the public eye Tyson seemed to have a glamorous life, but deep down he had a lot of emotional problems that will be detailed on the movie about his life. His father left his family behind by the time he was 2 years old. He was arrested 38 times by the age of 13, and his mother died when he was 16.

Through the ups and downs of his life and career Tyson always seemed to be searching for guidance that was never there. Tyson a devoted family man suffered another set back when his daughter Exodus passed away on May 26, 2009 from a treadmill accident. Now Tyson is hoping to reshape his image from the barbaric that he once was. He is trying to find peace in his life and he knows everyday will be a struggle.

In football there is a saying “ If you look good you play good ”, but I guess it’s the same when robbing banks. In most countries in order to rob a bank or jewelry store, you would have to put on ski mask and run in and out as fast as possible, but in London all you need is an Armani suit. In the latest breaking news that will surely be a movie on the BBC channel someday. Two thieves robbed the luxurious London Bond Jewelry store dressed in nice tailored suits. The heist is one of the biggest in Britain’s history with a value of about $65 million.

Now I am no Sherlock Holmes, but at all times there are two guards right at the door of the store. So how does two guys walk right by them, rob the store, shoot warning shots into the ground and get away. It’s just my opinion but I think they might want to investigate the guards who just stood there and let the robbers get away.

The funny part of the whole thing is this is not the first time this has happened. In 2007 a well dressed Bonnie and Clyde couple were chauffeured in a Bentley right to the front door of another branch walked past the guards outside, robbed the bank and got away with over $10 million pounds of jewelry. I know the British are suppose to be more sophisticated than us Americans, but at least we make the robbers earn their heist on the way out with at least a foot chase or some kind of shootout. Now I see why most movies about successful heists and bank robberies take place in London.

Some of the major buzz on CNN today was not about the stock market instead it was on General Motors (GM) new toy. In order to help revive GM the automakers are hoping that the new electric Volt will get them back on track. In comparisons to gas guzzlers like my wife’s SUV, the Volt would get an outstanding 230 miles per gallon.

The Volt will be powered by an electric motor, battery pack, and a combustion engine, and the best thing is you can charge it at home for only .40 cents a day. While it will save you money from a gas standpoint. The cost of the new Volt will be around $40,000 when it hits the market next year.

While the EPA is still determining the exact mileage the volt could operate on. GM is pleased with the product they have, and are looking forward to its release date. Now that GM has released the news of their new car other major car companies have stated they also will have similar cars coming out next year.

What is Cleveland Browns WR Donte Stallworth thinking? I know I don’t have a million dollar lawyer at my disposal like most celebrities and pro athletes. If I did, and I was able to only serve 24 out my 30 days in jail, 2 years of house arrest, eight years of probation, 1000 hours of community service, and a lifetime driver license suspension for killing someone while I was drinking and driving and admitted it, I would say the lawyers earned every penny.

Yet Stallworth will be appearing in front of a judge today to reduce his sentence. I mean come on, he killed somebody and only went to jail for 24 days and he wants even more preferential treatment. Michael Vick got sentenced to 2 years in prison and immediately began serving his time without looking for special treatment because of his star status. He knew what he did was wrong and he served his time.

If I were the judge I would increase his punishment for even asking. The only one of his punishments that I feel is a little rough is the lifetime driver license ban, but he just signed a seven year $35 million dollar contract so instead of wasting his money on Bentleys like the one he killed somebody with. Use that money to hire a driver and stop complaining. And the fact that the victim family didn’t even want Stallworth to even see jail time once they received a financial settlement shows that in some places people care more about dogs than humans.

First of all the U.S. has let you monopolize all news media.You now have the Monopoly and your not making money off the print. The only people that pay for news in print nowadays are Seniors.You have the idea that  people will pay to read your news by distinguishing yourself online...WRONG!.....This is the Internet what you will do is allow people to access real news and well written opionated articles vs. MEDIA Spin and filtered Political News that is run in your papers.

Mr Murdoch every day my opinion of the press and media becomes more and more jaded. As I am exposed to the truths and intersting stories on the WEB vs. the actual crap put out by MEDIA. I am sure I can not get them confused.I will not pay. Fuse TV has announced Kanye West will have his first ever, live TV concert, “Fuse Presents Kanye West: Live From The Chicago Theatre.” This special will capture Kanye’s recent “Stay in School” benefit show at the Chicago Theatre.

The event was sponsored by Kanye West's Foundation S.H.O.W. , "Students Helping Our World", a charity established in tribute to Dr. Donda West, Kanye’s mother who died in 2007.
