The finest in digital TV quality
How would you describe your current picture quality? DIRECTV will turn your screen around by giving you up to 250 channels with 100% digital quality on every channel, all the time. Compare this with cable, offering about half the programming with 100 channels. "Digital" cable is really a mix of digital and analog signals which can cause poor picture and sound quality.
DIRECTV gives you a signal 99.96% of the time, with outages totaling only 9 minutes a year. The truth is cable loses its signal more often and is simply not as reliable as satellite TV.
Excellent TV programming
Be part of a company that is continually innovating! DIRECTV's diverse programming and advanced features are available across all geographic areas while cable's new offers are often available only in one market or region at a time.
DIRECTV offers exclusive, on-demand partnerships that cable does not. View the FX series before it airs and the newest musical events only on CD USA. Other choices include 68 channels of XM Satellite Radio, 55 Pay Per View options per day and over 30 premium movie channels.
Best sports programming on TV
Do you live and breathe football? If so, subscribe to DIRECTV's exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket with up to 14 NFL games per week, available in HD as the SuperFan package! Other exclusive programming includes the NASCAR HotPass, NBA League Pass, NCAA Mega March Madness and MLB Extra Innings.
DIRECTV offers over 25 specialty and regional sports networks with action-packed programming from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS.5 Cable's sports coverage pales in comparison and lacks these exclusive deals. Don't settle for less! If you love sports you will love DIRECTV.
High Definition TV (HDTV)
Seeing a TV screen in DIRECTV High Definition is an amazing visual experience and you will not want to go back! Six times sharper than regular TV, everything will appear as in real life! DIRECTV offers over 130 channels in HD‡, including local channels and major broadcast networks. Because bandwidth is abundant, you're not limited as with cable in the number of channels in HD. Depending where you live, cable companies may not offer HD at all.
Digital Video Recording (DVR)
DIRECTV DVR puts you in the driver's seat! How many times has the pizza delivery person knocked on your door when you were in the middle of a show? Don't worry! DIRECTV DVR lets you decide when to pause, rewind and record any live TV program. It fits the busy lifestyle and promotes family harmony when favorite shows air simultaneously! Also record up to 100 hours of the best selection of movies. Depending on the region, cable may or may not offer DVR service and its selection of movies is often more limited.
International TV programming
DIRECTV's International programming includes many popular Spanish language channels. In addition they offer Arabic, Portuguese, Korean, Hindi, Russian, Vietnamese and many other types of international programming. Whether one of these is your native tongue or you're interested in learning a language, DIRECTV offers the finest programming from all corners of the world. In comparison, cable often offers Spanish-language networks but not much more.
Interactive features
Enjoy additional interactive features like Mix Channels, allowing you to see eight different news, sports or kids' programs at once. The DIRECTV NASCAR HotPass™ package is full of interactive features as well, giving you the best multi-dimensional viewing of that sport.
Highest ranked customer service
DIRECTV's set-up is simple! You get a satellite dish and up to 4 standard receivers for free when you sign up for months of service. Cable often charges for installation.
Look at the polls! The University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index has placed DIRECTV on the top of the list of television providers for the past eight years, while cable didn't make the list. The choice is simple, call today!

Have had it with Comcast. I've been a customer since the company first began. I have absolutely no pay channels just the basic "Analog" with 2 connections.... no cable box or remote.
The monthly rate for this setup just went up to $65!!!!!
So does this seem outrageous to anyone out there?...
* Two basic connections
* No DVD or any special recording features
* No converter boxes or remotes
* No pay channels
* No commercial free movie channels
* The only channels that are considered special that we watch are the SciFi, Discovery, History and TNT... Which are, by themselves, commercial ridden.... which is bad enough.. but then Comcast has to advertise constantly!! That makes for such an extreme amount of obnoxious commercials that we honestly forget what program we were watching!!
Now think of it..... Programs with that many commercials have their broadcast already paid for…. And paid well.
So how dare a company broadcast a couple of commercial ridden channels. Then, inject their own commercials every 3 minutes and charge over $60 per month for it!
I’ve been searching for any company that offers a better setup than that.
The problem is that I get fooled by the low introductory price and after configuring my local channels and the extra connection… the monthly rate ends up close to what I’m paying with Comcast.
Satellite TV has to start to offer better prices.
I would have been a regular customer of 15 years if any one of them would have competitive rates.
Too much emphasis on the first 3 months deal when they should concentrate on having a better the regular monthly rate.
Now that Comcast raised their rates, it should be easy to beat that price, but all these alternative broadcast companies seem to follow suit.
I just signed up for Direct TV and I must say, from reading all the reviews and cost savings by switching, I know I made a good choice. They are coming Sunday to install it for three TV's.
I was really getting aggravated with comcast and their On-Demand service. Half the time I get an error and it says to call them. I call them and they have to reset my cable box. Then I have no channel info for over a half hour or more.
I try again for On-Deman and low and behold, I get the same error. I am sick of their service.
Hello All, I am attempting to decide between Directtv vs Dish. I am interesting in HD, however NOT interested in sports or movie channels. Any opinion on the HD content of both?
DirecTV is the #1 choice ever! Its 100% digital, clear picture, and more. I had normal cable before. :( Dish Network is falling down. Any Others, dont try it.
just signed up for new service and had great customer service,my sales rep was matt and he answered all my questions..12-3-08
Comcast "considering" adding TBS HD in my area. Considering? Are they idiots? The MLB Play-offs and World Series won't be seen in my house on my HDTV because Comcast is CONSIDERING. THEY ARE IDIOTS.
